A peak inside the Liberal Mind?

In a recent letter to the editor of The Mississauga News local Liberal Carolyn Parrish helped to demonstrate just how dysfunctional and delusional Ontario’s Liberal Party really is. [Read more...]

The GTA in a Precarious situation

In their report released Feb. 22nd The Star declares that “Half of GTA and Hamilton workers in ‘precarious’ jobs”. And this is shocking news to who? [Read more...]

Kathleen Wynne: Out with the old, In with the old

With a clear signal that Ontario’s Liberals are in fact completely out of touch with economic reality they have chosen a new leader who is no different that the old one. As mentioned here before Sandra Pupatello was the right candidate if the Liberals wanted to truly change their evil ways so picking Kathleen Wynne is proof that this Party is truly delusional and not fit to govern. PC’s war on the LCBO, the “Old School” approach.

Mr. Hudak stated this week that his Progressive Conservatives would privatize the LCBO if elected. It seems that every time this man gains in popularity, usually because of some bone-headed move his opposition makes, he says something completely idiotic like this. Either this man is completely out of touch with reality or he thinks us voters are a bunch of idiots. [Read more...]

Dalton is gone – Let’s fix this mess! Part 3

Now that we have a strong management team we must move to the next phase of the repair process. Mr. McGuinty wanted to be known as “The Education Premier” and spent a great deal of effort and money on increasing the graduation rate in highschool as well as the “all day kindergarten” initiative. The money has been spent and now we must start evaluating the results. [Read more...]

Dalton is gone – Let’s fix this mess! Part 1

Whether we choose to acknowledge it not, Ontario is in trouble. The Education Premier has bolted for the exit leaving a serious mess for the next Liberal leader, as well as the subsequent Premier to be chosen most likely next spring. Before we can start repairing the damage done we must understand the nature and severity of the problem. In very simple layman’s terms following is a preliminary list of issues that must be addressed, and quickly:

Here’s Your Coat, What’s Your Hurry?

In a move that we here at The Parkdale Party consider “par for the course”, Dalton McGuinty has bolted for the exit. At the very least it is possible that the man has finally reached bottom and perhaps things can’t get any worse with him gone. But, just what has this final ungraceful exit cost us? [Read more...]

Ford vs McGuinty vs The Media

Toronto’s mayor Rob Ford gets caught spending time on the school football field coaching his team because he is supposed to be a 24 hr mayor. He has the audacity to use the services of some people in his office to help him and actually allows them to use their city issued phones in this covert operation that is potentially stealing tens or maybe even hundreds of dollars from the citizens of Toronto. The attention this abuse of position got was unbelievably over the top. On the other side are our provincial Liberals who get caught squandering hundreds of millions of dollars (the actual amount is still not clear, but it may be in the range of $700 million!!!!) and there is some noise in the media which quickly dies down. Un-freaking-believable! [Read more...]

Leadership (from the rear) In Ontario

“Forward he cried from the rear, and the front rank died.” Pink Floyd coined this phrase but Mr. McGuinty has embraced it. How else can his treatment of his MPPs be explained. The latest casualty of McGuinty’s battle strategy is Energy Minister Chris Bentley, thrown into no man’s land without even a white flag. A new low even for this Premier who regularly seems to find yet another step down into his (bottomless?) pit of ethics. [Read more...]

McGuinty’s Freeze Sends a Chill

The Liberals’ approach to cost control is to impose a wage freeze (kind of, sort of) on public sector managers. The ceiling for salaries is frozen at $418,000.00, or twice the Premier’s salary, but there are a few ways around this cap which is riddled with exemptions. What else can we expect from our leader than to blind us with his constant smoke screens. Whenever something positive comes out of our government you have to ask yourself about the catch, because we all know there is one. [Read more...]
